Vivobarefoot Neo Trail Womens Running Shoes Navy
Vivobarefoot is a revolutionary, back-to-basics design based on the simple principle that being barefoot is the healthiest way for you and your feet to be. An ultra thin puncture resistant sole allows your feet to be as millions of years of evolutionary design intended - Barefoot!
The Vivobarefoot Neo Trail takes Vivobarefoot into new territory with a barefoot shoe that is optimised for off road use (though that doesnt mean it isnt suitable for hard surfaces too).
The Neo Trail takes a familiar looking Vivobarefoot sole but adds a number of 4mm "lugs" that add grip to the sole for softer, slippery surfaces. Now you might think that adding 4mm lugs to a 2.5mm thick sole would lead to a shoe with reduced levels of proprioception, but the opposite seems to be the case. The lugs are made of firm rubber so they offer minimal cushioning and pass information about the running surface directly to the 2.5mm sole without filtering out important feedback information. So the net affect is more akin to wearing a shoe with only a 2.5mm sole.
The Vivobarefoot performance line helps awaken the senses and encourages us to run as millions of years of evolution intended - barefoot.
Super thin puncture resistant sole protects your foot from damage. The slim-line anatomic last with sucked out arch area, results in maximum barefoot performance response.
No gimmicks, no fuss, no marketing fluff, it is what it is; a barefoot running shoe that lets your foot move how it is supposed to.
NOTE: The Vivobarefoot Neo Trail Womens Running Shoes Navy shoes do come up a little small so we would recommend that you order a size larger than usual.
Benefits of going Barefoot
1 Strengthens the muscles in your feet.
2 Realigns your natural posture.
3 Feeling the ground, stimulates sensory perception.
4 Flexes your feet as nature designed.
Barefoot running strengthens the foot-ankle complex and the rest of the kinetic chain (knee, hip, core and even upper body).
Barefoot Running promotes Front and Mid -strike which allows the runner to take more advantage of elastic energy stored in both the Achilles tendon and the longitudinal arch of the foot. This develops more calf and foot muscle strength, and avoids uncomfortable and potentially injurous impact.
Running Barefoot/Minimalist strengthens the intrinsic or postural muscles in the feet and lower leg.
Warning!
Do not rush into barefoot running. Listen to your body and allow your feet and gait to readjust naturally. We recommend walking in Vivobarefoot shoes in your every day life to help adjust to barefoot. Don't run before you can walk!
